Lake Saint Louis Rolls Back 2021 Property Tax Rates
LAKE SAINT LOUIS, MO September 21, 2021 – The Lake Saint Louis Board of Aldermen unanimously voted to set the city’s 2021 property tax rate at 86.7 cents per $100 of assessed valuation for residential property. The total rate incorporates 47.1 cents for general and 39.6 cents for debt service.
This represents a roll-back of 10.1 cents for residential property - 2.8 cents for general and 7.3 cents for debt service.
“The Board of Aldermen and I are committed to fiscal responsibility and making sure tax dollars are spent in an efficient manner,” said Mayor Jason Law.
The lower property tax rate for 2021 is a result of the city’s efforts to pay down the general obligation bonds one year early.
