Tournament Registration
All teams must register via the Lake Saint Louis Parks and Recreation website. All teams must complete registration and submit payment one week prior to the start of the tournament. Any unpaid teams will not be scheduled. Credit card payments can be accepted via the website or checks can be mailed to:

Games will be played at Founders Park, 7 Freymuth Rd., in Lake Saint Louis.

Tournament Participation
All teams must present the Tournament Director with a roster one hour prior to the start of their teams first game. This roster should include ALL players that will participate at any point in the tournament. Roster must include players legal name and birth date. Once roster is submitted, no players may be added.
Schedule
The tournament schedule will be posted on the Lake Saint Louis Parks and Rec website and will be emailed to the manager of each team. The schedule will be released by Tuesday at 12:00 noon the week of the tournament. DO NOT CONTACT THE PARKS AND REC OFFICE OR THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR TO INQUIRE IF THE SCHEDULE IS DONE PRIOR TO THE POSTED DATE AND TIME. Scheduling requests will be accepted but compliance with these requests is not guaranteed. Requests must be received by the entry deadline. Once the schedule is released games will not be rescheduled. Any team not able to field a team of EIGHT will be charged with a forfeit.
Weather Delays
All attempts will be made to play the tournament games as scheduled. In the event of unsafe weather or field conditions, games may be rescheduled, delayed or shortened. Tournament updates will be posted on the Lake Saint Louis Parks and Rec tournament website as well as via our weather hotline, 636-639-5384. The hotline should only be utilized by coaches, it should not be released to the entire team. If schedules need to be rewritten due to weather, they will be emailed to the team contact[s] as soon as they are prepared. DO NOT CONTACT THE PARKS AND REC OFFICE OR THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR TO INQUIRE IF THE SCHEDULE IS DONE. They will be released as soon as possible. Due to the preceding, it is VERY important that teams provide contact information that will be provide them instant notification if the tournament releases emails.
Courtesy Runner
A courtesy runner may be utilized for the pitcher or catcher of record at any time. The least likely player to come to bat shall be utilized as the courtesy runner.
Defender Safety
There is NO mandatory slide rule. Any action by a baserunner that is, in the judgement of the umpire, intended to cause injury to an opponent shall result in the baserunner being declared out and possibly ejected depending on the severity of the offense. This is a judgement call by the umpire. MLB rules regarding base running will be enforced.

Pitching Limitations
The tournament will not enforce any pitching limitations.Teams are encouraged to keep the best interest of their athletes at heart when making these decisions.
Ready for Play
Teams are required to be ready for play 10 minutes prior to their scheduled first pitch. Tournament administration reserves the right to cancel infield warm up’s. Teams should warm up prior to the end of the preceding game.
Run Rules
Teams may score no more than seven runs per half inning. Mercy rules for all games will be 15 runs after three innings, 10 runs after four innings and 8 runs after five innings.
Starting and Ending the Game
A legal team shall be considered to have eight participants at game time. If teams do not have eight players at game time a forfeit shall be declared. Teams must end the game with seven players. If a team is no longer able to field seven players a forfeit shall be declared. If a player arrives late they shall be placed in the last spot in the batting order regardless of where the team is currently at in the batting order. If a player who starts the game is unable to finish the game for any reason other than ejection, no out shall be charged when that players spot in the batting order come up. If a player is ejected for any reason an out shall be declared when that spot in the batting order comes up.
Tie Breaker
Games in pool play are permitted to end in a tie. In single elimination, a winner must be determined. A modified tie breaker will be utilized. The bases will be loaded with the three least likely runners to come to bat and one out shall be implied. This shall occur for both the top and bottom of the inning. If the tie is not broken, the process will be repeated until a winner is determined.
Time Limits
All baseball games will have a time limit of no new inning after 1 hour 40 minutes. All softball games will have a time limit of no new inning after 1 hour 20 minutes.
7U/8U Baseball – 8U Softball Rules
Five runs per half inning. All batters will receive six pitches or three swinging strikes. An at bat cannot end on a foul ball. No base stealing. Teams will be allowed four outfielders, who must remain ten feet behind the baseline. A safety circle shall be placed around the pitching machine. No participant shall enter this area. The umpire shall operate the pitching machine. If the ball strikes the pitching machine a dead ball shall be declared. The batter/runner shall be awarded first base. Additional runners shall advance only if they are forced. A coach of the defensive team shall be permitted behind the plate for the purpose of assisting the catcher. That coach is prohibited from coaching from that position or engaging the umpire. The Infield Fly Rule will not be in utilized.
9U Baseball Rules
One warning will be issued on balks per pitcher. Subsequent offenses will result in all runners being awarded a base. Runners will be prohibited from stealing home. Batters will be declared out on a dropped third strike. 10U Softball Rules-No dropped third strike. No illegal pitch. Stealing of home is prohibited
